Vehicle steering aid - apparatus and method

The method for the assisted steering of a vehicle, especially for manoeuvring and parking, entails determining an actual position (W 1) of the vehicle, whereby with deviation of the actual position from the nominal driving path (X) a covered deviation arc (KA) and a first (K 1) and a second (K 2) correction arc are determined. The second correction arc is a congruent reproduction of the deviation arc and ends at a target point (W soll), and a corrected nominal-driving path is sent out. An independent claim is included for a device for the assisted steering of a vehicle, and especially assisted manoeuvring and parking, by which the proposed method can be carried out.
