Live Looks: North Carolina at California 3/14/26

On Saturday, I was able to make the trip out to Berkeley for the second game of the opening conference series for Cal, and the second series for UNC. There was a scouting director in attendance, and I got my first sunburn of the year.

UNC RHP Ryan Lynch (6’3/235, ‘26 Eligible, Age in July ‘26: 21.1)

Ryan Lynch had a terrific start on Saturday, limiting a Cal lineup that was entering the series with their longest winning streak since 1989. He struck out 7 in 8 innings, only allowing 2 runs to score on a Jett Kenady home run. As he got settled in, it was clear that the Bears had no chance, and he closed out the series.
