"Pick to Click" Prospects - AL Central

Prospects Live March 17, 2026
Source

Part of being successful in dynasty leagues is being able to identify prospects who will gain value, and quickly. Most dynasty managers can look at a top prospect list and pick out a future star, but it takes some analysis, intuition, and luck in order to consistently pinpoint future major league contributors.

This week, our Dynasty Team will be highlighting one prospect from each team that they feel will jump in our rankings over the course of 2026. Not all of these players will be top 25 prospects, in fact some may not even crack our top 100. But if maximizing value is the name of the game in dynasty baseball, even a player rising the ranks should generate some buzz and a possible trade chip for your team.

Raj (@rajmehta.ca) keeps us rolling with the American League Central and five prospects he's targeting as picks to click in 2026!

Being drafted by the White Sox is a dream come true for Jaden Fauske, who was born & raised in Illinois as a White Sox fan. It’s not like he was picked just for his fandom, though, as he was good enough to be drafted with the very first pick of the second round at an above-slot $3M signing bonus in 2025. Fauske has both above-average hit and power, great discipline and contact rates, along with good bat speed for his age. The latter is likely due to raw talent and athleticism from his 6’3, 210 lb. frame, but he developed the former at his high school of Nazareth Academy, where Hall of Famer Jim Thome was an assistant coach (his son Landon Thome also plays there), and taught Fauske all of his insights about recognizing pitches and pitch sequences. Fauske is absurdly developed compared to the average prep hitter, and this makes him less risky than most other high school bats.

The big issue with Fauske is that he doesn’t really have a defensive home; he played all over the field in high school — including catcher — but will likely play in the outfield for the White Sox in the minors. He’s a good runner and has a strong arm, so he could stick in center, but once he fills out, there’s a good chance he moves to right. In addition, the White Sox have done well with a few of their recent draftees, especially on the hitting side. Caleb Bonemer, the White Sox’s 2024 2nd-round draftee who also signed for $3M, is now the 29th overall prospect at PLive after a breakout year in the minors in 2025. There’s no guarantee that Fauske posts a 151 wRC+ like Bonemer did last year, but he has a better chance of holding his own offensively, as he’s entering the year with a better hit grade and similar power grade as Bonemer had last year.
