College Daily Sheet: SEC Bi-Cycle 2/21/26
Atlantic Coast
Covered by: Joshua Salguero
💣💣 Hideki Prather, C Cal (Atlantic Coast)
3-for-6, 2 HR, 2B, 3 R, 3 RBI
Prather has been a bright spot in a struggling Cal lineup. The Clemson transfer is thriving with his new playing time and is attracting extra-base hits like my lamp does with moths. His two homers on the day made up for 1/3 of Berkeley's home runs on the year, as shocking as that is. He's been super aggressive and swinging early so it's likely he'll cool down a bit but it's been fun to watch so far.
‼️ Chris Levonas, RHP Wake Forest (Atlantic Coast)
5.0 IP, 3 H, ER, BB, 10 K
Duncan Marsten, RHP Wake Forest (Atlantic Coast)
3.1 IP, H, BB, 7 K
Excellent tag team from Levonas and Marsten. The two flamethrowers combined for 17 Ks allowing just one run on four hits. Levonas averaged 98 on his fastball and hit 100 a couple of times through his start. His fastball and slider both showed excellent shapes, with his fastball getting up to 19 inches of IVB and his slider getting over 10 inches of horizontal movement and reaching spins over 2600 rpm. Levonas won't be draft eligible until 2027 but he'll enter the following season among the top pitching prospects in the class. Marsten, on the other hand, is a draft-eligible sophomore. He's still building up for a rotation spot after missing all of last season due to a back injury but he's looked very strong in his two appearances. In 7.1 innings pitched, he's allowed just three hits and one walk while striking out thirteen. His command has been excellent and his fastball is already back touching the upper 90s again. The Wake Forest lab man.
