Clemson rebounded well after a crushing weekend series loss to Virginia by beating USC Upstate, 7-2, on Tuesday. The 4th-year hitter Luke Gaffney connected on his 6th HR of the season, and his 3rd in 4 games. He’s done a great job cutting down on the K’s, but this year will likely result in a return for a 5th season after a redshirt. Justin LeGuernic pitched 3 shutout innings in the pen while striking out 5. He was a notable prospect to make it to campus, but his role has been held as the Clemson closer, as he has struggled to avoid walks. Clemson will travel to Louisville this weekend.
