OPERATING METHOD FOR A SAIL DRIVE IN A HYBRID VEHICLE

The invention relates to a method for a so-called coasting operation in a motor vehicle with a hybridized drive train (6), in which the kinetic energy of the motor vehicle is utilized to coast as far as possible without the internal combustion engine (1) being dragged by the kinetic energy of the vehicle during coasting operation. According to general aspects of the invention, during coasting operation the fuel injection at the internal combustion engine (1) is deactivated (S2) and the internal combustion engine is maintained at a coasting speed by means of the electric machine (2), which coasting speed is less than or equal to an idle speed of the internal combustion engine (S3).
