According to general aspects of the invention, during coasting operation the fuel injection at the internal combustion engine (1) is deactivated (S2) and the internal combustion engine is maintained at a coasting speed by means of the electric machine (2), which coasting speed is less than or equal to an idle speed of the internal combustion engine (S3).",
