The water tank (1) has a deflection chamber (2). A deflecting element (12) is arranged in the deflection chamber, where inflowing and laden air with water droplets is deflected at the deflecting element via an air inlet opening (10). A flow port (15) is arranged between a side wall (7) of the deflection chamber and a side edge (36) of the deflection element. A guide structure (53) is provided in the deflection chamber in the area of the flow opening, to guide the air flowing through the deflection chamber, around the side edge of the deflecting element. An independent claim is included for a motor vehicle.
