Clip on element for fixation of an airbag modul and a method for attachment of an airbag modul

The fastening clip has latching element (3) which, in the fitted state, engages behind an installation opening of the support wall. The fastening clip is assigned a protective shield (19) which partially covers the front side of the latching element.The latching element has unblocking unit (25), which extends in the mounted condition by the installation opening to the front side of the support wall and is covered by the protective shield. An independent claim is also included for a method for fastening an airbag module to support wall of vehicle.
