The invention relates to a fastening clip (16) for fastening a headliner (6) to a vehicle roof (2), in particular a panoramic or sliding roof, having a base element (17) which is plate-shaped, with two support elements (21,22) arranged opposite one another and extending away from the base element (17) and at least substantially towards one another, wherein on each support element (21,22) a latching element (24,25) projecting from the support element (21,22) for latching the fastening clip (16) to the headliner (6) or to the vehicle roof (2) is arranged, which is held elastically displaceable at an end of the respective support element (21,22) facing away from the base element (17) and extends in the direction of the base element (17). It is provided that the respective latching element (24,25) has a latching lug (26,27) spaced from the base element (17) for engaging behind an edge section of the headliner (6) or of the vehicle roof (2), and that the respective latching lug (26,27) projects from the outer side of the support element (21,22) facing away from the opposite support element (22,21).
