Fastening clip

The fastening clip (16) has a housing (22) with an insertion opening (26) and an elongated receiving space (24) for bracket (20). A latching element (42) is provided in the receiving space, and is moved from a holding position in which the latching element holds the bracket in the receiving space to a release position in which the bracket is inserted into the receiving space or pulled out from the receiving space and to a fixing position in which corresponding holding elements (46,?48) are fixed on the latching element. The damping elements are made of plastic.
