Vehicle luggage compartment cover

The contents of the car boot are covered at the front by a flexible sheet (11) extending from the backrests of the rear seats to the lid of the boot and wound up on a transversally positioned drum when not in use. The sheet (11) is fitted with a rigid border (12) containing an opening (14) with a frame (16) to be used as a handle. The opening (14) is covered by a matching sheet of plastic (21) which is automatically swiveled open around a thinner strip (27) along one of its edges, serving as hinges, when the fingers of the user are inserted.
