Sliding roof for a vehicle

The roof of the vehicle (2) is proviDE4d with an opening (3) to be closed with a matching rectangular sheet (4). The roof area (2) adjacent to the rear edge (6) of the sheet (4) is fitted with a longitudinal positioned single central rail (13). For use the sunroof (4) is slightly lifted at the back (6) and moved by an electrical drive on sliding elements positioned in two lateral front rails (8). A third sliding element is inserted and moved along the central rail (13). The front rails (8) are covered and protected by the sunroof (4) when it is closed.
