Method for correct operation of electrical components in a vehicle
DRIVE
May 11, 2005
Process for operating electrical components in a vehicle comprises scanning the components using a control device during an initializing phase for ratings, reading out the ratings of the components from a storage unit permanently assigned to the components, transferring the ratings to the control device, and optionally changing the control parameters of the control device. Preferred Features: The control device is connected to several components via a data bus and scans these components during the initializing phase. The start of the initializing phase is determined by reconnecting the current supply. The ratings are red out from a storage unit (EEPROM) which is mechanically connected to the components.
