Method to adjust driving properties in order to avoid understeering

The method involves detecting at least the driving speed (v), transverse acceleration (aq) and current steering angle (LWakt), taking a characteristic field steering angle (LWKF) relating to the driving speed and transverse acceleration from a characteristic field and varying the transverse acceleration if the difference between the steering angles exceeds a defined value.
