Airbag module

This air bag module comprises an airbag housing (16) with a closing flap (26) and which has a gas generator (18) mounted on the housing side. The airbag (20) is folded into a pack (22) fitted into the housing (16) inside a shell (24), which holds the airbag inside until, when activated, it reaches its correct position to unfold. The pack (22) is connected at connecting points (32,34,34') to a steering arrangement in the form of a textile tube (30) which steers the airbag through a predetermined angle to its operating position. In its unactivated position, the tube (30) lies between the shell (24) and the airbag housing (16).
