Method and system for controlling an internal combustion engine
DRIVE
October 9, 2002
The control method has the fuel injection for the internal combustion engine divided into at least 2 partial injection phases, with control of the injection characteristic defined by the sequential fuel injection phases. The control determines of a defined criteria is met for selective suppression of fuel injection phases, with different priorities assigned to the different injection phases. An Independent claim for a device for controlling a direct fuel injection internal combustion engine is also included.
