Method and device for regulating an external exhaust gas recirculation rate

The method involves regulating the exhaust gas feedback rate and/or the fuel feed to the engine (10) and/or the fresh air quantity depending on a detected actual induction pipe pressure so that the actual pressure set in the induction pipe (22) equals a defined desired induction pipe pressure. The exhaust gas feedback rate is regulated with a control element in the feedback line. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for regulating external exhaust gas feedback rate and/or air-fuel ratio.
