Method for suppressing overrun fuel cut-off of an internal combustion engine during overrun mode
DRIVE
November 24, 2004
The method involves re-treating exhaust gas in a catalyzer system and suppressing overrun mode shut-off and setting an air-fuel ratio less than or equal to 1.1 in an overrun phase. During the overrun phase with shut-off inhibited the air-fuel ratio is adjusted depending on engine revolution rate, exhaust gas mass flow, cylinder filling, induction pipe pressure, ignition angle, inlet valve control times, exhaust valve control times and/or charge movement flap setting.
