Pedal

The pedal (10) has a pedal arm (14) acted on by the force applied by the foot of the driver at one end (18), its opposite end (16) pivoted about a pivot axis (22) supported in the pedal housing (20). The pedal arm movement is detected by a lever (26) cooperating with a sensor (34), the lever coupled to the movement of the pedal arm between its initial position and an intermediate position corresponding to the end position of the sensor and uncoupled from the pedal arm during its movement between the intermediate position and its end position.
