DRIVE August 21, 2002
Source
The pedal (100) has a pedal arm (101) acted on by the force applied by the foot of the driver at one end (103), its opposite end pivoted about a pivot axis (111) at right angles to the pedal arm, supported in a pedal housing (109). A kick-down stop (115) for the pedal arm is provided by a spring which is tensioned at each end, e.g. a spring blade.
