Electromechanical parking brake for an automotive vehicle
DRIVE
November 28, 2001
The electrically-operated parking brake has a commutator electric motor which drives a brake operating shaft (2'), coupled to a brake actuator rod (4') via a linear-rotary motion converter with a rotary cam guide (3') and a displacement element (5') cooperating with a cam surface (F') of the cam guide. The cam surface has at least one locking position, for self-locking of the displacement element in a given position.
