Electric parking brake actuator for vehicle

The electric parking brake for especially a commercial vehicle has an operating unit (1) with at least two manually operated elements (2,4), each with at least two redundant electric selecting devices (8,10 and 12,14). One operating element (2) is for applying the parking brake, and for releasing the parking brake at least two operating elements have to be operated one after the other or simultaneously, with one of the operating elements for releasing the brake being the element used to apply it.
