Rigid profiles made of thermoplastics, for making door frames of motor vehicles, and method for manufacturing the same

The thermoplastic material is produced as a rigid closed profile, with a cross section in the form of a hollow body. The material, as used, consists of two separate longitudinal parts (2a, 2b), produced separately by moulding, or extrusion, and assembled together, by clipping and adhesion, to form the hollow profiled section (2). The hollow body has a cross section in the form of a polygon, approximately square or rectangular, with straight, or curved, sides, of which the shape and dimensions vary according to the length.
