App error "Ada kesalahan. Silakan coba lagi nanti" when trying to accept new Terms of Use – works fine on web
Platform: Mobile App (iOS/Android – please specify which one you use)
Subscription: ChatGPT Plus (3 months remaining)
Problem description:
Since a few days ago, every time I open the ChatGPT mobile app, I get a pop-up asking me to accept the updated Terms of Use and Privacy Policy (effective January 31, 2024).
Below the [Agree] and [Learn more] buttons, there is an error message in Indonesian:
“Ada kesalahan. Silakan coba lagi nanti.”
(English translation: “There is an error. Please try again later.”)
I cannot click [Agree] or dismiss the pop-up – the error blocks me from using the app completely.
What I have tried:
Force closing the app
Clearing app cache
Reinstalling the app
Logging out and back in (but I can’t even reach the settings because of the pop-up)
Additional context:
On desktop web (browser) there is no Terms of Use pop-up – everything works fine.
On mobile web via browser also works.
The issue only exists in the mobile app.
Question for the community:
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a known workaround? I really don’t want to delete my account because I have an active 3-month ChatGPT Plus subscription.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
