Continuing their rambling ways, Georgia Tech held off Kennesaw State 10-7 on Tuesday, to mark their best 44-game start in program history. Drew Burress is making those who are calling his 2026 season disappointing, potentially me for a brief second, foolish. After going for another 3 hits, including a homer and a stolen base, Burress is slashing 365/.484/.630 with 9 HRs and 6 SBs, more or less the same output he had in 2025. Really disappointing. Vahn Lackey just did Vahn Lackey things with a ho-hum 2-double day, including a third base hit and a walk. For a Yellow Jackets’ staff that has raised some real concerns with their lack of power Stuff in the past two weekends, Justin Shadek has come onto the scene with his triple-digit FB, and fanned the Owls with 3 innings of 1 run ball, striking out 6. The Bees have a nice reset weekend with Xavier coming to town for 3.
