Jason Fultz Jr., 2B Clemson (Atlantic Coast)

2-for-3, HR, R, 3 RBI, BB

Clemson completed their West Coast road trip on a high note with a 6-4 win on Monday in its first-ever matchup versus Santa Clara. The Tigers had help from a lot of different places, but they got the most from the Freshman INFer Jason Fultz Jr. He tallied 2 hits plus a walk, and hit his first career homer. His homer was massive for Clemson as it gave them the lead in the Eighth, plating three on the long ball. The blast left the bat at 103 mph, travelling 398’. He’s only gotten a run of playing time recently, but is slashing .302/.479/.453 with more BBs than Ks. The Tigers have a massive series to turn things around this weekend when they host #5, North Carolina.

Hunter Carns, C Florida State (Atlantic Coast)

2-for-4, HR, R, 2 RBI

The FSU Noles dropped their home mid-week to their bitter in-state rivals, Florida, 4-3 on Tuesday, dropping both games to the Gators this season. A bright spot in the loss was catcher Hunter Carns’ 2-run homer in the eighth to draw Florida State within 1, just not enough to complete the comeback. Carns has been hitting for AVG and getting on-base more this season compared to last, but has not completed the power projection that he had the potential for as a prep, with only 2 homers on the year. Florida State has a massive series coming up this weekend, traveling to Georgia Tech.
