College Daily Sheet: Hip Hip Correa 3/4/26 (Midweek)
Atlantic Coast
Covered by: Harris Yudin
Dalton Wentz, 3B Wake Forest (Atlantic Coast)
3-for-5, HR, R, 2 RBI, K
Man, Wentz is on a tear. He collected three more hits against App State on Wednesday, including a two-run shot that put Wake up early. He’s an absurd 11-for-18 over his last four games, with as many homers as strikeouts in that span! He’s a fun player with plenty of offensive upside, and sits 68th on Live’s NCAA rankings.
Walker McDuffie, RHP North Carolina (Atlantic Coast)
3.0 IP, H, 2 BB, 3 K
AJ Gracia, OF Virginia (Atlantic Coast)
Game 1: 0-for-2, 2 K
Game 2: 3-for-4, 2 R, 2 BB
It was a day to forget for Virginia on Tuesday, including Garcia, who struck out twice and was hit by a pitch in the 14-0 loss to Charlotte. The Hoos bounced back on Wednesday, and Gracia reached base five times— three singles and two walks. He can do damage in so many different ways, with a patient approach and the ability to hit for both average and power. One poor game doesn’t negate anything he’s done this year — he’s fifth in the ACC in OPS among everyday players — and we still view him as a Top 10 player in this year’s draft.
