Advanced PSSR Support for Control and Alan Wake 2

Remedy Entertainment has announced that Control Ultimate Edition and Alan Wake 2 will support the PlayStation 5 Pro's advanced PSSR technology.

Sony announced an updated version of the PlayStation 5 Pro's PSSR technology late last month and stated that the first game to use this feature would be Resident Evil Requiem. While it was stated that more games would receive this advanced PSSR support starting in March 2026, the new names added to the list came from Remedy.

In a post shared via Remedy Entertainment's official X account, it was announced that both games will soon receive an 'advanced version of PSSR.' While no specific date was given, it was stated that players can expect noticeable improvements in image stability and motion clarity. This will allow players to explore the Oldest House and the streets of Bright Falls with a new level of visual fidelity.

Advanced PSSR is powered by the Project Amethyst technology, developed jointly by Sony and AMD. With this update, a new adjustment tool called 'Enhance PSSR Image Quality' will be offered to players. Thanks to this tool, it will be possible to achieve much sharper graphics in compatible games.

The March 2026 games for the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog have also been officially confirmed. On the other hand, Sony has announced that it will no longer bring single-player PlayStation exclusive games to PC.
