Are you ready to cast your vote?
The primary election is coming up on June 9, 2026. North Dakota’s primary is how each political party decides which candidates will appear on the general election ballot later in November.
When you vote in the primary, you must select candidates from one party only. You can pick all Democrat, Republican, or Independent but must be through your entire ballot. If you mix candidate choices from different parties, your ballot won’t count. You will not be informed of your ballot being invalid if you do vote across party lines during the primary election.
What Do I Need To Vote?
North Dakota doesn’t require voter registration, but you do **_need a valid North Dakota ID _**to cast your vote.
