The invention related to a device for immobilizing containers in trailers and semi-trailers, comprising a swivel head (1) which supports a retractable pin (4), the function of which pin is to ensure the hooking and locking of a loading container (9) by inserting the retractable pin (4) into a front hole that is incorporated for that purpose into the corner castings of the loading containers that have been standardized for transport, such that when the swivel head (1) adopts an open position in which the container (9) is locked, the swivel head (1) is perpendicular to each of the longitudinal beams of the chassis (10), as well as being in contact with a corner casting of the container (9) in which the front holes (13) are located, each of the retractable pins (4) being inserted into said front holes.
