Universal locking device for containers on a trailer
DRIVE
January 28, 2004
The locking bar for a container on a semi-trailer has fastening means such as twist-locks (20,200) installed on the front cross member of the semi-trailer. The twist-locks can each be swivelled around at least one pivot point (21,23) from the engaged position with standard containers into a non-working position outside the transporting area of gooseneck containers. The first pivot point is orientated horizontally and perpendicularly to the longitudinal extend of the vehicle and the second pivot point is orientated horizontally in the vehicle's longitudinal direction.
