The invention relates to a method for adjusting an actual steering wheel angle (28) of a steering wheel (21) and an actual wheel steering angle (29) of a wheel steering system (26) in a motor vehicle (50) following a performed automated driving maneuver (62), comprising the following steps: detecting the actual steering wheel angle (28) by means of a steering wheel angle detection device (2) and the actual wheel steering angle (29) by means of a wheel steering angle detection device (3), adjusting the actual steering wheel angle (28) by means of a steering wheel actuating device (4) and/or the actual wheel steering angle (29) by means of a wheel steering actuating device (5) within a specified handover time (66) based on a handover strategy (7). Furthermore, the invention relates to an associated device (1).
