PNEUMATIC TYRES FOR A VEHICLE
DRIVE
February 1, 2017
The invention relates to a vehicle pneumatic tire in radial construction with a tread having a shoulder-side profile block row (1) bounded on the tread inner side by a circumferential groove (2), which occupies up to 30% of the width (B) of the ground contact area of the tread and is provided with transverse grooves (3) opening into the circumferential groove (2), extending at least substantially parallel to one another, wherein each transverse groove (3) is bounded by a groove base (5) and two groove flanks (4, 4'). Each transverse groove (3) has within the ground contact area at least two adjacent groove sections (3a, 3b, 3c) of different depths (T2, T3, T4), wherein the depth (T2, T3, T4) of the groove sections (3a, 3b, 3c) increases in stages in the direction toward the tread edge.
