ASSEMBLY FOR HOLDING THE OVERHEAD WIRE FOR ELECTRICAL RAILWAY VEHICLES COMPRISING THE SUPPORTING CABLE AND CONTACT WIRE

An arrangement for holding the overhead line of electric rail vehicles, which consists of a carrying cable (11) and a contact wire (12), has a catenary mast (1, 2) with guides (6, 21) for a support member (7) that extends the mast (1, 2) upward. The support member (7) is displaceable in the guides (6, 21) and carries a cantilever arm (10) that holds the overhead line. The cantilever arm (10) consists of a rod formed into an open loop, the ends of which are mounted on the support member (7). This arrangement is simpler and safer than the known arrangements.
