An energy storage cell (1) for storing electrical energy, the cell (1) comprises a negative electrode (22) and a positive electrode (32) that are immersed in an organic anhydrous electrolyte (4), wherein the negative electrode (22) includes a negative active material composition that has Nb2O5 particles and microporous carbon (MC) particles; wherein the positive electrode (32) includes a positive active material composition that for the most part has LiMn0.6Fe0.4PO4 (LMFP) particles.
