An energy storage cell (1) for storing electrical energy, the cell (1) comprises a negative electrode (22) and a positive electrode (32) that are immersed in an organic anhydrous electrolyte (4), wherein the negative electrode (22) includes a negative active material composition that has Nb2O5 particles and activated carbon (AC) particles; wherein the positive electrode (32) includes a positive active material composition that for the most part has LiMn2O4 (LMO) particles.
