CARRIER ASSEMBLY FOR A TRAILER COUPLING OR A LOAD CARRIER

The invention relates to a carrier assembly (10) for a trailer coupling (80) or a load carrier, as components comprising at least a cross member (18) for mounting on a rear of a vehicle body of a motor vehicle (100) as well as at least one bracket (50) arranged on the cross member (18) for a trailer coupling (80) or for a coupling part of a load carrier, wherein the carrier assembly (10) comprises at least two components connected by a welded joint, wherein the carrier assembly (10) comprises at least one support profile (20), in particular a profile tube, with a first wall section (21) and with a second wall section (22) at a distance from the first wall section (21), so that a gap (25) exists between the first wall section and the second wall section (22), and wherein a second component (60), in particular the bracket (50), is attached to the support profile (20). In the carrier assembly (10), it is provided that the welded joint is a resistance welded joint (66, 67) and serves to connect the second component (60) to the support profile (20).
