In a support frame for a power supply unit (3) of an electrically driven mobile work machine, in particular a counterbalanced forklift truck, wherein the power supply unit (3) can be arranged on the support frame (6) and both together can be inserted as an interchangeable unit (1) into a battery receiving compartment of the mobile work machine, and the support frame (6) has receiving openings (7) for a load-handling device of a materials handling vehicle, in particular receiving openings (7) for fork tines of a load fork, in order to be able to transport the interchangeable unit (1) with the materials handling vehicle and insert it into the battery receiving compartment, the weight of the support frame (6) is dimensioned such that the interchangeable unit (1) has essentially the same total weight as a lead-acid traction battery of the same external dimensions.
