Vehicle with cover device for the loading structure

The vehicle according to the invention comprises a loading bed defined by front walls and side walls, open at the top, and a covering device with which the loading bed is locked in a closed position and released in an open position, wherein the covering device comprises at least one roof segment which can be pivoted between the closed position and the open position by means of at least one pivot mechanism. The pivot mechanism comprises at least one drive shaft, wherein the roof segment is connected to the drive shaft in a rotationally fixed manner. Furthermore, a drive for rotating the drive shaft is provided. The drive shaft is rotatably supported on at least two pivot levers, wherein the pivot levers are pivotable about a common pivot axis, so that the drive shaft is brought from a position on an upper longitudinal edge of one of the two side walls into a position laterally spaced from the side wall and the common pivot axis is arranged on the upper longitudinal edge of one of the two side walls.
