Vehicle pneumatic tire with a belt bandage (8) arranged on the radially outer side of the belt (7), having at least one bandage ply (9), which is subdivided in its axial extent into two side regions (12) and a center region (10), each containing a bandage ply part (11; 13), wherein the reinforcing cords of the bandage ply part (11) in the center region (10) are formed from nylon PA6.6 and wherein the reinforcing cords of the bandage ply parts (13) in the two side regions (12) have a higher elastic modulus than nylon PA6.6; the reinforcing cords of the bandage ply parts (13) in the two side regions (12) are formed from normally shrinking polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
