Vehicle pneumatic tire of radial construction with a tread (1), a radial carcass (6), a belt assembly (8) with at least two belt layers (8a, 8b) and with at least one belt bandage layer (9), which is arranged radially outside the belt assembly (8) and has reinforcing elements, wherein the reinforcing elements are approximately longitudinally extended in the circumferential direction of the tire and are arranged interrupted in reinforcing element sections (12), wherein these reinforcing element sections (12) are arranged in the belt bandage layer (9) such that, viewed over the axial width of the belt bandage layer (9), in the central region (10) a lower circumferential stiffness per unit width is obtained than in the two shoulder regions (11) adjoining the central region (10).
