Rim (3) for a cycle wheel with an axis and having a median plane perpendicular to said axis, said rim comprising an upper bridge (31) and at least one left lateral wing (321) extending from said upper bridge and continuing with a hook (35) projecting radially toward the axis and axially toward the median plane, said upper bridge comprising a stop (37) placed on the same side as said left central wing with respect to the median plane, in such a way that said left lateral wing, the hook and said stop define a left channel (341) open toward the top; the amplitude of the opening of said channel, defined by the distance (a) separating the hook from the stop being less than the greatest amplitude (c) of the channel; the depth (h) of the channel measured between the apex (325) of the hook and the bottom of the channel is less than 6 mm, preferably less than 5 mm; the front face of the hook comprising a first abutment surface (353) and the front face (373) of the stop comprising a second abutment surface; the normal direction (A35) of the first abutment surface forming with the normal direction (A37) of the second abutment face an angle of between 75° and 105°.
