Injection valve for an internal combustion engine and method for producing an injection valve

The invention relates to an injection valve (1) for an internal combustion engine. The injection valve (1) comprises a valve body (5) with a valve head (6), wherein the valve head (6) is configured to be arranged at least partially in a combustion chamber (4) of the internal combustion engine or to face said combustion chamber at least directly. Furthermore, the valve head (6) is coated at least in some areas with a first oxide layer (9). According to the invention, a second oxide layer (10) made of cerium oxide (CeO2) and/or praseodymium oxide (PrO2) and/or zirconium oxide (ZrO2) is arranged over the first oxide layer (9). Furthermore, a method for producing such an injection valve (1) is disclosed. According to the invention, the second oxide layer (10) to be arranged over the first oxide layer (9) made of cerium oxide (CeO2) and/or praseodymium oxide (PrO2) and/or zirconium oxide (ZrO2) is applied as a washcoat.
