ROOF ASSEMBLY

The invention relates to a roof assembly for a vehicle, including a pair of guide rails, a roof panel movably supported on the guide rails and configured to close the roof opening, each guide rail slidably supporting a respective operating mechanism for the roof panel, each operating mechanism comprising a front mechanism, a tilting mechanism, a locking mechanism, and a driving slide. The operating mechanism further comprises a panel bracket which is pivotally connected to the front lever and slidably connected to the sliding claw. The driving slide is configured for operating the front mechanism on a first side of the panel bracket in the guide rail and for operating the locking mechanism on a second, opposite side of the panel bracket in the guide rail and the tilting mechanism is operable by the locking mechanism on the second side of the panel bracket in the guide rail.
