The subject matter of the invention is a window system (1) comprising a pane frame (7) made from an elastomer for a window glass pane (25), as well as a window opening frame (3) for receiving the pane frame (7), wherein the pane frame (7) has a peripheral framing leg (4) with a rib (17) facing the pane frame (7), whereby a stiffening element (22) can be arranged in the pane frame (7) in the region of the rib (17).
