Method of manufacturing sealing strip especially for sliding glass window and window provided with such strip

The manufacture of a seal between a sliding glass pane and a window frame, comprises coextruding two elastomer mixtures and then vulcanizing the extrusion. Only one of the mixtures includes vulcanizing agents and this forms the contact element between the seal and the glass and/or the seal and the frame. Independent claims are included for the following: (a) a U-shaped seal made as above, where the arms of the U form the contact elements and are spaced to receive the glass plane; and (b) a seal for a sliding window, having two discrete elements contacting the opposite surfaces of the glass pane. One of the elements is made as above.
