Device for tensioning a strap

The present invention concerns a tensioning device (1) for a strap (2) for securing a load, comprising a lever (3) linked in rotation to a base (4) around a pivot axis (5) and a split winding axis (6) to allow the winding of said strap (2), said axes being distinct, parallel and coupled in rotation by a motion transmission mechanism (10) comprising a speed reduction. Each of the winding axis (6) and pivot axis (5) is linked to at least one ratchet wheel (7, 13) each cooperating with at least one pawl (8, 14), the pawls being able to be unlocked simultaneously by a single release handle (16).
