Device for securing load

The motor vehicle's luggage space has a load bearing floor and a load securing device (3) comprising a latch (4) and a strap (6) rolled up on a strap winding device (5). The strap winding device has a centrifugal force lock and a ratchet function activated by an operating element for the tensioning of the strap. The luggage space has a rail system (8) in which is integrated a retaining device into which a locking tongue on the strap winding device can be releasably clicked.
