Method for the controlled limitation of the braking power of a hydrodynamic retarder

Source
The method involves reducing a braking torque (M-int) of the hydrodynamic retarder by exceeding a predetermined maximum temperature (T-K-max) of a coolant, such that the cooling capacity of the coolant is optimally utilized. The coolant-side power adaptation of the hydrodynamic retarder is carried out from a target value in the positive and negative adaptation steps to a negative or positive deviation of the actual coolant temperature (T-K). The coolant-side power adaptation is coupled in addition to the temperature of the operating fluid.
